Carmela Tunay, For Real.

(Above: Pictures are from her Facebook Account)
Ever heard of a whirlwind romance? Maybe I can compare our friendship to that. :) Who would say that a friendship doesn’t happen overnight? Well you’re wrong! I may not know her for so long but all I can say is that this girl with big plans and a big heart is making it big in the volleyball world, FOR REAL. Her name speaks for herself! She is a genuinely beautiful and talented young skater and now a volleybelle.
The night I asked Kim if I can ask Mela for advice (love advice), she did not even hesitate to give me her BB pin so I can add her. Kim is very sure that Mela could help me, it’s her ‘expertise’, she said. And yeah, we talked for like hours until we realized it’s already dawn (Meron pa siyang class ng 7 am if I’m not mistaken) and she has an exam but she has no sleep and didn’t review at all! I can remember how we prayed na lumakas ang ulan para bumaha sa UST at magsuspend ng class. We are crazy like that!
She’s very mature in dealing with relationships, although she never fails to make me laugh with her fluency in Beki Language. Maybe one of the reasons why we clicked is because beki siya, at beki rin ako. haha. After our BBM conversation we decided to meet up, just like that! We had lunch! There is never a dull moment with her. And mind you, she’s a very supportive friend when it comes to kalandian, haha. Kidding. But no, really, she’s very supportive. I remember the time when I told her I have a crush on this guy, a member of the UST Tigersharks. So what she did was she asked her UST friends if they know him and got his number!!! I can’t believe she did that for me. But of course, I did not text the guy. (I don’t wanna sound like a stalker or something). haha. Last March I think, I got a message from her in BBM, a picture of that guy in the pool. She passed by the training area and managed to fearlessly take a picture of my crush. I love you to bits Mela. haha. <3
She’s very humble and you’ll never feel she’s a volleyball star whenever you’re with her. She’s just the simple Mela that her family and friends love. Now that she’s 18, I just want her to know how thankful I am that she became my friend. I know she is a superstar in the making. I’m praying for a stronger and better career ahead of you. :) And also, thank you Kim Fajardo for introducing me to this amazing young lady. She’s TRUE, She’s REAL, She is CARMELA TUNAY!
Love you Mela! Happy 18th Birthday!!

What we did to welcome Easter Sunday.
We’re really craving for pasta and pizza and the thought that there are no fastfoods in Calatagan frustrates us a lot. Good thing that our friend who’s from Nasugbu, told us that there’s this place where we can find delicious and not-so-pricey Italian and Filipino Food. It’s called “Cafe de Nasugbu”.
The place is cozy and is perfect for a date, a family gathering or just a simple dinner with friends.
The waitress bragged that the ingredients of the Marinara and Carbonara are from Greece. :) The Pepperoni and Hawaiian Delight are also good.
Indulging in a luscious midnight snack and discovering a new place we can recommend to our friends; our Saturday isn’t that bad after all. :)

Welcome to La Mesa Eco Park! Who would have thought that there is a place within Metro Manila where you can be like Katniss Everdeen for a while?
Trying to achieve some jump shot, but I end up imitating Raine’s signature pose. (Yeah, Raine Mateo Calucag, the famous blogger. Visit her blog!soveraine.tumblr.com ) Of course, I was not even a bit of successful in trying to pose the Raine Calucag way. :)))

Citizen journalism, the Youth and the Elections
Hey guys! Please read and share our article regarding what the youth can do for the success of the May 2013 Elections. Know the thoughts of ABS CBN Host and Reporter Atom Araullo, GMA reporter Mav Gonzales, UP USC Councilors Jules Guiang and Mijo Solis, and UST Volley belle Carmela Tunay. :)
